WITHOUT YOU


. . .everything is easier-
sleeping late,
making dinner (potato chips, cake),
doing the wash,
letting the phone ring,
cleaning the bathroom. . .

And harder-
finding it impossible
to sing in church,
talking to the TV,
crying at odd times,
discovering things I didn't know
you had,
rewriting the script of our lives
together-
wondering why - why. . .
